Causes
When you view the message Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped means that your Android device encounters a problem in the management of contacts. This message may occur when you try to register a new contact in the address book, but also when using WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.
The message appears continuously at intervals of about five seconds, stopping after 5/6 repetitions and resuming about 30 seconds later. In some cases, it may lead to the restart of the smartphone/tablet.
Solutions
There are two solutions, the sooner we can call it soft and is to delete the temporary data stored by applications that manage the contacts on your Android device.
Access at the Settings and click on Apps
Settings > Apps
Scroll horizontally until you get All
Apps > All
Select Contacts Storage and click on Clear Data and Clear Cache.
Go back to the screen Apps > All do the same with Contacts
This operation is enough in most cases.
If this is not sufficient, you need to try with the hard solution. In this case we proceed to factory data reset. Before proceeding you should perform a full backup of contacts, photos, videos and music on the device.
To factory data reset you will need to access the Settings menu, click Backup & reset and then click Factory data reset.
In the screen that opens tick the Delete SD card, and then click Reset phone.
This procedure will restart your smartphone/tablet. It will take 5-10 minutes before the end of it all, but in the end it will be as if you were on for the first time.
